4. Get Active
Ok, so while I did say that exercise is not the best way to lose weight, it is a contributing factor. Enrol your kids in after school sports if that’s what they enjoy. It will be even more enjoyable for them if you get active with them. Try going for a walk or a swim. You could take along a couple of our remote control cars and race them all around the park together. Just make it interesting and fun so they look forward to it.

10. Join In
There’s nothing worse than not being able to eat what everyone else is eating and nothing more tempting than opening the fridge to array of snacks that you can’t eat. So make it a family affair. If everyone is on the same eating plan there shouldn’t be any “naughties” in sight. Get together, make lots of healthful snacks that can be kept for when the munchies show up. Make healthy eating your habit and your children will do the same, even when you’re not there.
